Festival to bring Las Vegas to Northwich
10:00am Sunday 22nd July 2012 in News
By Gina Bebbington
THE glitz and glamour of Las Vegas will be brought to Northwich in August.
A Las Vegas Casino Party Night, complete with Elvis tribute, will kick of the four-day extravaganza that is Northwich Festival on Friday, August 24.
Sam Naylor, festival organiser, said: “We want groups of friends, families, club and work colleagues to enjoy this – it’s a nice way to finish work for the weekend and a great way to kick off the Bank Holiday weekend on the Friday night.”
Guests to the marquee at Moss Farm from 7.30pm to midnight will be able to play black jack, three card poker and roulette and enjoy a hot buffet supper before the Elvis act comes on at 11pm.
Tickets are £10, which includes gambling chips and food.
Festival organisers are also offering a £10 discount for every 10 tickets booked.
The dress code is casual but guests are welcome to don their best Elvis costumes for the evening.
A Cheshire Independent Living Awareness Day event will also be held at Moss Farm from 11am to 3.30pm on the Friday.
Cheshire Centre for Independent Living, which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, will be in the large marquee showcasing its activities and resources to help disabled people live more independently.
Other activities on the day will include face painting, balloon modelling, henna tattoos, bouncy castle and children’s rides.
Sam said: “We want to provide a festival that caters for all and the plan is also to make it the best value for money event in the Northwich social calendar.”

• Festival organisers are also appealing for Northwich businesses, clubs, groups and organisations to get in touch about showcasing what they do at the festival.
Pitches will be available on Bank Holiday Monday, August 27, and there are also spaces available for arena displays.
