Leftwich teen will shave head for charity

A TEENAGER is set to lose her locks in aid of charity.

Chloe Gee, 15, has enlisted the help of a hairdresser to shave off her blonde, curly style on July 21, as part of her mission to secure funds for The Christie.

The pupil at The County High School, Leftwich, explained that she was inspired to arrange her charity challenge after a family friend was diagnosed with Ewing's Sarcoma for the second time, earlier this year.

And the brave fundraiser has organised her special event, complete with a sparkling prize raffle, at Moss Farm.

She will also be supported in her efforts by the Rudheath-based Amplify group at an event later this month.

"I am excited - I don't see the point of being nervous," said Chloe.

"I am doing it anyway and I have wanted to do it for a while.

"It was never the right time until now."

Mum Julie added: "It is a very selfless thing to do.

"I am very proud of her, she is a lovely girl.

"When I said to her 'why do you want to do this?' she said 'I love my family and friends more than my hair'."
