Weaverham cook wins award

A COOK has been given an award for her work in Weaverham.

Hannah Williams, who works at Gleavewood, was awarded the title Support Services Worker of the Year for her commitment to delivering above expectations.

In her nomination she was commended for her dedication to older people and her attentive nature performing considerate tasks, like shopping, for residents.

The 41-year-old said: “I’m delighted to win this award.

“Cooking 90 meals a day for the residents is an absolute pleasure as they make the job so rewarding, and so to be recognised for my role at Gleavewood is simply an added bonus.”

She won the award at CLS Care Services’ annual staff awards ceremony in front of an audience of 200 CLS staff.
