Healthy day at Marbury Country Park draws the crowds

HUNDREDS of people enjoyed a healthy day out in the Northwich countryside.
A free event was organised at Marbury Country Park by Cheshire West and Chester Local Involvement Network (CWAC LINk).
This gave families the chance to enjoy sporting activities, cookery demonstrations, a healthy picnic and enjoy music in the park as part of the Change 4 Life campaign.
The national campaign aims to encourage people to change one thing in their life to become healthier.
CWAC LINk worked with Green Space Countryside Rangers, Friends of Anderton and Marbury (FOAM) and CWAC’s Northwich and Rural North Area Team to put on the day, which attracted 700 visitors.
Artistic primary school pupils have also been busy designing posters in the run up to the event and Danny Slaymaker, from Willow Wood Primary School, in Winsford, won a prize for the best poster.
Liz Dickinson, partnership development manager for West Cheshire Citizens Advice Bureau, said: “This is the first time the CAB has been involved in this brilliant event, the CAB have just become the host for CWAC LINk and it is great to be involved in the different sorts of activities.
“Everyone involved was so enthusiastic and dedicated with an excellent mix of information and fun activities to get the message across.”
