POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision in Northwich.
At 9.34pm on Sunday, May 27, a collision between a car and motorcycle took place on the Chester bound carriageway of the A556, Northwich Bypass at Rudheath.
The motorcyclist, who is believed to be an 19-year-old male from the Northwich area, suffered injuries which were fatal at the scene.
His immediate next of kin have been informed. There were no other serious injuries.
The road was closed at Gadbrook Road on the Chester bound carriageway, and from the Davenham roundabout on the Manchester bound carriageway.
Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact Cheshire Police on the police non emergency number 101, quoting incident 1044 of May 27.
