Time to discuss what the future holds for Northwich

THE future of Northwich will be up for debate at a meeting on Thursday, February 16.

Catherine Fox, from Cheshire West and Chester Council’s special projects team, will give a presentation during the meeting, which will take place at Bethel Church, in Hargreaves Road, from 2pm.

The meeting has been organised by Cheshire Community Development Trust.

Arthur Neil, chairman of the trust, said: “We hope to have a good turnout out of local people as it’s our town and we should make an input when we can.

“Catherine is local and passionate about our town. So let’s all make a contribution.”

given it has been announced the project to develop Winnington is short of funds let's hope there are NO plans to Creep up Council Tax to try to pilfer the shortfall off already overwhelming indirect taxation?

The old car showroom near Barbers old garage would make a great community theatre with a bit of effort, come on councillors do SOMETHING!!

Meeting at 2pm on Thursday? Any reason why people who work are being excluded?

Mr Hartseer, the meeting has been convened by Cheshire Community Development Trust, a local charity which has been arranging a series of activities and talks for pensioners in the Witton area. Meetings are in the day to suit their needs. This is the latest and as it is of a lot of pubic interest we are throwing open to the wider public. Cheshire West have had some events and no doubt will have more. There was no intention to exclude anyone - merely to suit the needs of the people it was originally for.
