The Nightingale of South Bank comes to Davenham

10:51am Thursday 26th January 2012

A GROUP which aims to break down the barriers to opera and classical music will present its next show at Davenham Players Theatre, on Sunday.

The Relative Pitch Opera company will perform The Nightingale of South Bank, which tells the tale of English opera singer Florence Easton.

Working with companies both in England and abroad, Florence settled in America after the start of the First World War.

She was famous for her ability to take an unknown part at very short notice and perform it flawlessly in public the same day.

The performance will take place on Sunday, January 29, at 7pm.

Tickets are priced at £10 and £8 for concessions and can be bought from L.J.Little, 99 Chester Road, Northwich, CW8 1HH, Monday to Saturday 10am - 5pm, except Wednesday.

Alternatively, call 01606 75770 or 07702 307546
