Whitley road run for motorcycle enthusiasts

VINTAGE motorbike enthusiasts are encouraged to take part in a scenic, 60 mile ride this Sunday, July 17.

The Cheshire and north Wales section of The Vintage Motor Cycle Club has organised the 2011 Whitley Run, for motorcycles and three-wheelers more than 25 years old.

Riders will also be quizzed on the Highway Code and motorcycling issues for the chance to scoop individual and team awards.

The road run will start at Whitley Village Hall, on Village Lane, Higher Whitley, and participants are encouraged to arrive at 10am for an 11am start.

The group will stop for lunch at The Tigers Head, Pytchleys Hollow, in Norley, between 12.30pm until 2pm.

And the awards and prizes will round off the event from 3.30pm onwards.
