TRIBUTES have been paid to ‘a beautiful and inspirational young woman’ who lost her battle with cervical cancer.

Jennie Hardy, died on Friday, aged 30.

She joined the Widnes World in 2002 as an advertising rep and helped many local companies promote their businesses.

Jennie, from Warrington, was diagnosed with cancer in 2002 and despite surgery and chemotherapy, she remained optimistic, brave and refused to give up.

She married John in 2008 and they enjoyed a dream honeymoon in Amerca.

Her mum, Trish O’Brien, said: “Jennie was an inspiration. We will all miss her very much, especially her smile and the way she lit up our lives.

“All Jennie’s family are very grateful for the precious time we had with her and I personally am proud to be able to call her my daughter.”

Her younger sister, Lyndsey, said: “You are the beautiful sister I always wished I could be like.

“I have always looked up to you and I always will.

“You are a truly special person, Jennie, an inspiration.”
