VALE Royal Abbey is preparing to host both a valuation day with expert dealers and an auction evening in aid of charity.
The Whitegate venue will stage the antique valuation day on September 18, in aid of Age Concern Cheshire, where people can bring along their valuables and receive a free valuation from professionals including Adam Partridge, from the BBC show Flog It.
There will also be an opportunity to sell to dealers on the day, or send the antique to auction at a later date.
The event will run from 11am until 3pm on the back lawn, and promises to be a family occasion with games, face painting, craft and gift stalls and much more.
Tickets are £8, with free entry for under 12s. The price includes cream tea for adults and juice and biscuits for children. To buy tickets, vist ageconcerncheshire. org.uk, or call the box office on 01606 305000.
All money raised will go to the charity.
Following the valuation, the venue hosts a fundraising auction in the evening with a champagne reception and three-course meal served under the arches of the Medieval abbey.
Comedian Carl Brent will be providing entertainment, with the main event – the celebrity endorsed auction – hosted by Adam Partridge.
Signed sports and celebrity memorabilia, days out event tickets and items of promise from local businesses will be up for grabs.
Tickets for the auction are £45 with a discount for groups of 10 or more, and all proceeds will be donated to Age Concern Cheshire.
