A HARTFORD student has planned a charity night with a bit of soul to raise money for an ambitious overseas project.
The night takes place on Friday, April 16, from 7.30pm at The Fourways Inn, Delamere, Cheshire and will be headlined by the Soulsearchers band with a DJ and raffle on the bill as well.
Anna Davies who has organised the night, is going to Zambia, in September, to build two homes for poverty stricken families with the charity Habitat for Humanity.
The former St Nicholas High School student has already completed two similar projects β in India in 2007 and Uganda the year after .
Anna, who is studying business management at Leeds University, said she believed the charity was a very worthy cause. βIt benefits so many people who need help,β she said.
The 20-year-old said she was inspired to take part in her India trip while in sixth form and had continued to fundraise for the charity ever since.
