Burglars hit rural homes

12:30pm Sunday 7th February 2010

BURGLARS have struck at six houses in rural areas.

Homes in Comberbach, Marston and Anderton were targeted.

These included homes in Senna Lane, Bramhall Park, Mount Pleasant, Marbury Road, Burgamot Lane and Lobswood.

At the house in Mount Pleasant, the burglars took a bunch of keys and stole a silver Lexus RX 350 that was parked in the drive.

Insp Paul Loughlin, from Northwich’s Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT), said: “The CID and NPT have been looking into the offences during the weekend with the support of crime scene investigators and the intelligence unit. The work to trace the offender will continue during the week.

“We would encourage any information regarding suspicious sightings or just something out of the ordinary to be reported.

“The NPT and other police units will increase the police presence in the areas to reassure residents and prevent further offences.

Anyone with any information should ring Det Con Christian Morris on 0845 458 0000 or ring Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
