Pet duck stabbed 13 times

CALLOUS thieves stabbed a pet duck 13 times in a sickening attack before stealing eight others.
Steven Smith, 28, opened the back door of his home in St John’s Close to find his pet laid in a pool of blood with the only other remaining drake.
The father-of-four said: “I got up at 7am and looked out of the window to make sure that all of them were ok but non of them were there.
“I opened the back door and found one of them on the doorstep covered in blood with the drake nursing her. His neck was full of puncture wounds and there was a big chunk missing from beneath the wing.
“I think anyone that could do that is sick, I just don’t understand.”
The wounded duck was rushed to the vets and is expected to survive. It is supected he was attacked with a small, sharp implement such as a screwdriver.
