Three youths arrested and released on bail after being caught on mini-motos in Rudheath and Weaverham

THREE youths have been arrested after a warrant was executed at three homes in Northwich.

Officers from Northwich Neighbourhood Policing Unit and Cheshire Constabulary’s specialist unit, Vector carried out the warrants at Greenway Road, Rudheath and Laburnum Road, Rudheath at 1pm on Thursday, July 2.

The warrants were part of an operation to tackle the issue of motorcycles and mopeds being ridden in an anti-social way.

Two off-road mini-motos and several moped and motorcycle parts were seized during the operation.

Three local youths, a 22-year-old, a 15-year-old and a 14-year-old were all arrested on suspicion of theft of motorcycles. They were later released on police bail.

Later the same day, PCSOs spotted another youth using a mini-moto off Walnut Avenue, Weaverham. The Cheshire Constabulary plane flew over the scene and officers have now been able to identify the rider.

Three local youths have since been issued with section 59 notices, warning them their bikes will be confiscated if they are seen riding them in an anti-social way again.

Sgt Sharon Lomas, from Northwich Neighbourhood Policing Unit, said: “We take vehicle crime like this very seriously and will continue to target those people who use these bikes illegally or in an anti-social way. We would welcome any information from residents about the riders and where they ride.”

So, a plastic cop sees someone brreaking the law, ie riding a motorcyle in an anti social manner, and wehat happens?.The officer sends for a helicopter to identify the said law breaker. Now we have to ask ourselves a question, What is the point of all these plastic police personel? Why didnt the officer approach and identify the lawbreaker or at least send for a policecar to do the job.

I think that this is disgusting how the police can use excessive force when the 14 year old boy told them that he had a key it must just make the police feel special when they put somebodys door through. how can they do this just off here say? And they took items from the house they that they didnt have a warrent for in my eyes this is theft. they also should be liable to put the damage write if they didnt find any evidence which they didnt but no because we all no that the police are above the law and they have now left the house as a fire safty hazzard and now there are peoples lives at risk

Amy. What has your first post got to do with the motorbikes?

None of it is published, so is what you say extra information?

From what has been posted here I presume that Amy's brother is one of the youths that the police suspected of riding these motorbikes illegally.

It is about time something was done about these two wheeled menaces. They are a blight on many peoples lives.
