Robbers strike at Bargain Booze, in Victoria Road, Northwich

KNIFE-WIELDING robbers stole cash from a Northwich off-licence.

Police are appealing for witnesses after two men targeted Bargain Booze, in Victoria Road, at 8pm on Saturday.

One man stayed at the door while the other threatened the shop worker, a 35-year-old Northwich woman, with a knife and demanded cash from the till.

He also demanded cigarettes from behind the till before the two men fled down a nearby alleyway.

Both men are described as white, aged about 40 and about 6ft.

One had grey stubble, wore a black zip-up hooded top, black gloves, a cap and sunglasses.
