Parliamentary standards commissioner to investigate part of Tatton MP George Osborne's expenses claims

Parliamentary watchdog to investigate part of Tatton MP George Osborne's expenses claims Parliamentary watchdog to investigate part of Tatton MP George Osborne's expenses claims

TATTON MP George Osborne will face an investigation by the Parliamentary standards commissioner into parts of his expenses claims.

Confirmation of the inquiry was sent from the House of Commons to Tatton Labour Party chairman Laurie Burton, who made the initial complaint.

The watchdog's investigation will focus on Mr Osborne's second home 'flipping' between 2001 and 2003, as well as mortgage claims from 2003 onwards.

Mr Osborne recently told the Guardian that Mr Burton's letters were part of a co-ordinated attack by his Labour opponents.

The Shadow Chancellor again said he did not change the designation of his second home for personal gain.

The Tatton Labour Party group recently launched a petition demanding Mr Osborne pay back part of his expenses.

Meanwhile, leaflets with a picture of Mr Osborne and the slogan ‘pay back our money’ were left on drivers’ cars.

The petition was launched after censored details of MPs’ expenses were published online.

I do hope a Tory constituent has complained about Mike Hall, just like a Labour constituent has complained about George Osborne! (according to the BBC)

Well said. Hall and the comrades are trying to move the heat from themselves but it will not work.
Hall's wife's unknown salary, petty cash dipping of £250 a month and cleaning bills of £15,000 over three years will not be forgotten.
We will ensure that everyone knows what a fraud he is.
I hope you read this Hall your turn soon ?

Yes a complaint should and will be made against Hall.
He and wifey are running scared since both will become unemployable when he loses his seat. There are rumours that he may stand down before the next general election. One lives in hope.
Go Hall we do not want you !
