TRIBUTES have been paid to a well respected vet who was trampled to death by cows while on holiday in the Yorkshire Dales.
Liz Crowsley, principal vet at The Willows Veterinary Hospital, in Hartford, was walking her two dogs on the Pennine Way when the incident happened on June 21.
It is thought that the herd of cows, some of which had calves, became aggressive at the sight of the 49-year-old’s two dogs, a brown and white spaniel and a border collie.
Readers have been leaving their tributes to Liz on the Guardian’s website north wichguardian.co.uk.
