NORTHWICH was hit by traffic chaos today, Monday, as New Year's Eve bargain hunters flooded the town.
Leicester Street was brought to a standstill with the sheer volume of traffic and drivers on the Barons Quay car park had to enlist the help of Police Community Support Officers just to be able to get off the car park.
At one stage, a car park attendant from Matalan was pressed into action to keep the traffic flowing off the store's car park.
