When?

Today, Monday, shortly after 1pm

Who?

The 24 teams that make up the National League do not enter until the fourth qualifying round

That means the highest-ranked opponents Witton could be paired with are unbeaten National League North leaders Chorley, who disposed of Leek Town (3-0) on Saturday.

Altrincham and Ashton United, league rivals last season, have progressed too while Chester, FC United of Manchester, Stockport County, Southport and York City are also potential foes.

A total of six sides from the Northern Premier League’s Premier Division are through, including Albion, while five others will be involved in midweek replays.

That means 11 have now been eliminated.

The draw, which will consist of 40 ties, is made on a geographical basis.

Path to the third qualifying round for Witton

2QR Sep 22 Spennymoor Town (h) 2-1

Witton produced another impressive display to eliminate higher-ranked opponents, this time in the shape of the in-form Moors.

James Foley’s penalty, after Delial Brewster had been fouled, sent them on their way before captain Rob Hopley steered in Danny McKenna’s cross with three minutes left.

Substitute Ryan Hall helped Shane Henry’s cross into an unguarded net to halve Spennymoor’s arrears but their goal arrived too late to alter the outcome.

1QR Sep 08 Bottesford Town (h) 5-0

Albion ensured there was no repeat of last season’s early exit, when they succumbed to South Shields, after putting five goals without reply past Bottesford.

They did not look back from the moment Michael Wilson’s free-kick crept past goalkeeper Jordan Douglas midway through the first-half.

Prize money

There is a £15,000 reward for teams that win at this stage of the competition

That is also the sum due to Witton so far as a reward for their two victories
