POLICE have arrested two teenage men following thefts from parked cars in Northwich. 

Between 10pm on Wednesday, September 12, and 2.30am on Thursday, September 13, thieves targeted at least two vehicles in The Crescent area off London Road, broken into them and stolen valuables from inside.

DC Paul Matchett, of Northwich CID, said: “At this stage I believe more vehicles could have been targeted in The Crescent area and other parts of Northwich and I would encourage those who have been a victim of this crime to report it to us.

“I am also appealing to anyone who may have seen two men acting suspiciously in the area during this time to come forward and call police on 101.

“I also want to take this opportunity to remind local residents to help prevent thieves from stealing valuables by removing them from their vehicle and ensuring they leave all windows closed and doors locked.” 

Two 19-year-old men from Northwich have been arrested on suspicion of theft and have since been released under investigation.
