SHEEP have been seriously injured and killed in a savage attack.
The bloodstained animals were found on a farm on Whitegate Road in Marton on Tuesday, September 4.
Details of how the sheep were attacked is not known but it is thought they could have been the victims of a ferocious dog.
The police are appealing for information.
Alison Kettle, who posted these pictures on Facebook, said: "Any information would be gratefully received as to the vicious injuries these sheep have sustained from dogs off their leads off Whitegate Lane on Tuesday."
A spokesman for Cheshire police said: "At 6.56pm on Tuesday 4 September officers received reports of sheep having been killed at a farm on Whitegate Road in Marton.
"Officers have carried out a number of lines of enquiry and provided reassurance to the local community."
