HOWDENS Joinery in Winsford have come up with a great way to get the community involved in raising money for charity.

The depot is hiding 500 pebbles painted red with their signature golden chicken around Winsford, Moulton, Davenham, Barnton, Tarvin, Tarporley, Delamere and Winnington.

Jo-Anne Cribbin, a manager at Howdens who is running this project, said: “Each rock you to find them and return to the shop is worth £1 for one of the two great causes we are supporting you choose, you’ll get one of our awesome goodie bags to take away.

“We have £500 to give away to these local charities so please come along and get involved.”

Buckets for The Joshua Tree and the neonatal unit at Leighton hospital are set up in the Winsford depot for people to deposit their finds.

The team are also running free pebble painting sessions every Saturday between 8am and noon from September 16 until October 14 at the store in One Lane.

A public Facebook page called ‘Howdens Charity Rocks’ has been set up by the team keep residents who are taking part up to date with tracking their pebble finds.
