AN appeal has been launched against a decision to refuse an over-55s housing development at the former Cheshire County Council offices.
Plans to demolish the eyesore Watling Street building and replace it with 70 new homes and a cafe had been rejected by Cheshire West and Chester Council, with a planning committee deciding it did not fit in with the town's character and identity.
But an appeal by the applicant, Galliford Try Partnerships Limited, was confirmed by the Planning Inspectorate earlier this week and kicked off a consultation period.
All comments made regarding the initial rejected application have been forwarded on to the planning inspector for consideration.
They can be withdrawn or added to online at acp.planninginspectorate.gov.uk using the reference APP/A0665/W/18/3202957
You can also email teamp12@pins.gsi.gov.uk or find postal details online.
