MORE than 1,000 visitors enjoyed a 'Grand Day Out' at Memorial Court last weekend.

The event, organised by Northwich Art Shop's Phil Bower, featured live art demonstrations, workshops, a pop-up shop and expert advice on Saturday, July 7 as part of the Northwich Festival of Arts.

Phil said: “We welcomed people from all over the world to the event including one couple on holiday in the area from Australia who had found an event flyer in their Airbnb.

“More locally we had visitors from Bolton, Blackpool, Colwyn Bay, Doncaster, Rhyl and Wrexham and it was great to see Mike Amesbury MP pop in too to see what was going on.

"I’m thrilled that there was so much interest in our event and made the hard work worthwhile.

“I’d also like to thank all exhibitors, sponsors and visitors who helped create a superb day."

Many visitors also spent time in Northwich enjoying the Roberts Bakery Brass Band, as well as the Urban Dance Festival at Barons Quay.

Phil’s attention now turns to another artistic showcase at Victoria Hall in Middlewich on November 18 – with a Christmas twist.

The Festival of Arts continues throughout July. visitnorthwich.co.uk/northwich-festival-arts
