THREE schools in Norley, Crowton and Kingsley Benefice have come together to say ‘goodbye, good luck, and thank you’ to ‘Vicar Pete’ as he and his family move on to a new parish.
Rev Peter Rudgen has been with the three parishes for 10 years, accompanying them on trips and helping to teach as well being a governor.
Helen Kelly, headteacher at Norley Primary School, said: “The children have loved having Vicar Pete around. Needless to say, he is going to missed greatly by everyone.”
The three schools came together to say farewell, presenting Vicar Pete with cards and a gift.
The day was so successful that the schools have decided to organise an annual picnic together.
