POWER has been restored to Northwich homes following an earlier electricity fault.
SP Energy Network engineers dealt with the electricity fault - believed to have been caused by third party damage to its cables - earlier this afternoon.
Power was out for around an hour.
A spokesman said: "Properties [were] affected by an unplanned electricity fault in the CW9 postcode area of Northwich, affecting properties in Manchester Road, Denton Drive, Cranage Lane and surrounding area.
"We have unconfirmed reports of third party damage to our underground cable network.
"We apologise for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience."
Engineers worked to restore electricity supply shortly after 1pm.
