FOUR men stole a large amount of mobile phones from Carphone Warehourse in Northwich town centre on Monday.

At 11.45am on May 21, police were called to Carphone Warehouse in High Street, after a report of shoplifting.

A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: "Four Asian males, who were all described as being in their 20s and 30s and wearing black jackets, stole around 20 phones before running from the store in the direction of High Street.

"If anyone has any information about the incident then please call Cheshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 70180, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."

The shop was closed briefly on Monday, but reopened soon after. 

A spokesman for Carphone Warehouse said: "The shop is still trading. We are working closely with the police to help them with their investigations."
