VISITORS to Redrow’s Hartford Grange development had the chance to try out some picnic treats thanks to two former Great British Bake-Off contestants.

Val Stones, known for her kitchen aerobics fellow contestant Louise Williams prepared picnic favourites such as bread rolls, sausage rolls, cheese scones, tarts and cupcakes for Visitors to the Cheshire development.

Caroline Thompson Jones, Redrow Homes (NW) area sales manager, said: “The food was absolutely delicious; there’s nothing better than the smell of freshly baked goods, it creates a really homely atmosphere.

“Val and Louise were really popular and gave some great baking hints and tips to our customers and their children as well as to our Redrow team.”

Val said: “It’s always a delight to cook in a Redrow kitchen with all the lovely built-in appliances, plenty of practical space but also room for entertaining.

“The Highgrove is such a gorgeous home and is the ideal place to rustle up some picnic favourites, especially as this one’s right next to the village green where you can sit out and enjoy the food with other residents.”

Val and Louise were contestants in the seventh series of Great British Bake Off, which aired in 2016, and Val also appeared in the 2017 Christmas special.
