THE full line-up for the sixth annual Beer and Cider Festival at the Anderton Boat Lift has been announced.

The event takes place from Friday, May 24 to Sunday, May 27 from 7pm to 11pm.

Twelve beers from the UK will feature as well as four ciders.

The beers include Old Pie Factory’s Pie in the Sky, Ludlow brewery’s Stairway and Twistered brewery’s Pirate.

Graham Woods, events manager, Anderton Boat Lift, said: “This year we have a great line-up of beers and ciders and we are looking forward to people enjoying our new prosecco and gin bar.

“Along with live music from top local bands, this promises to be a really special weekend for everyone.”

“The towering Anderton Boat Lift is a masterpiece of Victorian engineering and its location on the River Weaver and Trent & Mersey Canal makes for unmissable location and wonderful atmosphere.

This year’s rock bands are Crewe-based Platform 7, performing on Friday night, Northwich-based, Reminds on Saturday night and Northwich’s Tijuana Death Squad on Sunday night.
