CADENT’S work in King Street is set to take 10 days longer than scheduled, with a new completion date set as Friday, May 4.
The gas network will host a meeting on Saturday, April 21, between 10am and 2pm to answer questions at St Mary’s Church Hall in Middlewich.
Cadent began work on Monday, January 8, to replace 3km of underground pipes to ensure a reliable gas supply across Cheshire.
A stretch of the A530 King Street is closed from near the Morrisons distribution centre in Rudheath, to near the junction for Croxton Lane.
Diversions remain in place, pointing motorists to either the B5082 and B5081 through Lach Dennis and Byley, or the A54, A533 and A566 past Bostock, Davenham and Moulton.
The initial reopening date for King Street had been Tuesday, April 24.
