The Northwich River Festival is returning to Barons Quay this summer.
The event, organised by the Northwich Rotary Club, will take place from Saturday, July 14 to Sunday, July 15.
The raft race will take place on the Sunday and the rotary are looking for companies and groups of friends to take part.
Up to six people can be in a raft they built before the event.
Each raft must be made of eight parts or more and the crew must be sitting down and the rafts are to be propelled by handmade paddles.
John Walton, chairman, said: “The Raft Race will be a fun event where crews can enjoy building their rafts and sailing them. They can also raise sponsorship for the NRF charities The Alzheimer’s Society, RNLI and other Rotary charities. We are hoping that at least 10 crews will enter.”
The race will take place on the River Weaver and all crew members must be 16 or over and food swimmers.
The cost to enter each raft is £100.
