CHILDREN in Antrobus got up close and personal with exotic animals.
Simon Airey of Corner Exotics brought his collection of animals to Antrobus St Mark’s C of E Primary School on Thursday, February 8.
The nursery and reception children handled tarantulas, snakes – including a python – a giant millipede, chameleon, a scorpion a giant stick insect and lots others.
Rhian Perry, nursery and reception teacher, said: “It was amazing. They had no fear, they just held them in their hands.”
Children also learnt about endangered species and discussed what they could do to help protect them.
The workshop was funded by a donation from a parent.
