ONE of the area’s grandest homes opens its doors in December to share some Christmas spirit with the public.
Visitors will be able to meander around Arley Hall during the day from December 2 to 7 when it will be decked out with hundreds of fresh flowers for its winter wonderland theme.
Christmas trees will light up the Cruck Barn and florist Carl Wilde will be demonstrating how to create a festive, floral display.
On two evenings the hall will be lit by candlelight and carols will be sung by Bridgewater Singers on December 4 and Serenade on December 6, from 6pm to 9pm.
Daytime visits will be an opportunity to see the handiwork of florists and floristry students who will have used hundreds of flowers to add colour and festive charm to the hall.
The centrepiece will be a 15ft Christmas tree that will stand proud next to the grand staircase.
Events organiser Helen Begent added: “We do everything we can to make sure the event puts everyone firmly in the mood for Christmas.”
Booking is essential for the Carl Wilde demonstrations.
