THE Arley Hall Christmas Shopping Spectacular raised more than £32,000 for a Northwich-based children’s charity.

More than 1,500 people were welcomed to Arley Hall for a shopping evening and bubbles reception on Tuesday, November 7.

The following day visitors were treated to 70 hand-picked stalls, a foodcourt and live music by Terra Nova School, The Rock Choir, the Weaver Valley WI Choir, Sandbach and District U3A Brass Band, Paul Pashley, Josh Whittaker and Cat Allen..

On the Tuesday evening the Piccolino Bar served delicious prosecco and canapés.

The event, which was sponsored by Boodles, raised more than £32,000 for The Joshua Tree, which supports Cheshire families affected by childhood cancer.

Annika Flower, chairman of the Arley Hall Christmas Shopping Spectacular, said: “We are delighted with how successful the event was this year and I would like to thank everyone for their most generous support.

“I would especially like to thank Boodles for their headline sponsorship, and Piccolino for the delicious bubbles and canapés on the opening evening.

“ I would also like to thank the committee and all the amazing volunteers for The Joshua Tree who do such a fantastic job and who were wonderful to work with. We look forward to raising more money for them next year.”

The Shopping Spectacular was set up to support Cheshire children's charities for five-year terms. This was the second year of supporting The Joshua Tree.
