A MAN who tried to run away from police near Wincham Brook is due to appear in court today for breaching an injunction order.
The 29-year-old, from Newton-le-Willows, has also been charged with possession of cannabis.
Police were called out to Wincham Brook at 1pm on Monday following reports of two men acting suspiciously.
A spokesman at Cheshire Police said: "Both of the men made off on foot and were quickly followed by officers, who located both men.
"One of the men was released at the scene and the second man, a 29-year-old from Newton-le-Willows, was subsequently arrested on suspicion of possession of Class B drugs.
"Following questioning the man was found to have breached an injunction order and was also charged with possession of Class B drugs."
The man is due to appear at Liverpool County Court today in relation to the injunction order.
He is also set to appear at Chester Magistrates Court on Friday, November 17 for the drugs charge.
