MCDONALD’S’ 24-hour drive-thru opens for business in Northwich tomorrow.
The Manchester Road site, which was formerly Emperor’s Court, forms part of the fast food chain’s ‘major brand refresh’, which includes its restaurants and menu.
The new restaurant will also include self-serving kiosks, dedicated dining room hosts and table service, which is aimed primarily at families with young children.
The development will create more than 100 full time and part-time jobs.
The new restaurant will be run by franchisee Michael Thomas who also took charge of the Northwich High Street branch in November 2016.
He said: “I am dedicated to investing in the community and I’m delighted to be able to bring an employment boost to the local area with over 100 new jobs in Northwich.
“I look forward to hearing what my customers think of the new restaurant and getting their feedback on the new features.”
The fast food chain said it will deploy daily litter patrols.
McDonald’s said antisocial behaviour will be kept to an ‘absolute minimum’ through staff training in dealing with incidents and liaising with community police officers and use of CCTV cameras.
The fast food giant has identified Northwich as a key focus for development in the east of the borough.
