TRIBUTES have been paid to a ‘loving family man’ from Wincham who died after being hit by a motorbike on Monday.
The collision, between a pedestrian and a motorbike, occurred shortly after midnight on Monday, November 6 in Ollershaw Lane, Marston.
The pedestrian, Joel Daniel Renshaw, 46, from Wincham, died in hospital as a result of the injuries he sustained.
A heartfelt statement released today said: “Joel was a loving family man who was dedicated to his wife and children, mum, sister and close family.
“He loved life and was a loyal friend to many. His passion was Manchester City Football Club.”
Tributes have also been paid on social media.
Speaking on Facebook, Louisa Leicester, said: “So gutted to hear this can't believe such tragic news RIP Joel my thoughts & prayers are with your family.”
Julie Woolf said: “Shocking news...life is not fair!! RIP Joel, very sad news, condolences and big hugs to his family and all his fellow school mates.”
The rider of the motorbike, a 27-year-old man from Northwich, also sustained injuries as a result of the collision. He was taken to Leighton Hospital.
A full investigation in relation the collision is currently underway.
