SUPPORTERS of a Northwich disabled charity said farewell to its chairman who stepped down after a decade.

Barbara Martin set up Northwich Multisports Club, which operates at Northwich and District Youth Centre, in October 2007, by a small group of parents.

The aim of the charity was to provide activities and support for children with disabilities and their families.

The charity has grown significantly and now provides support to over 80 families in Northwich and the surrounding areas.

A number of friends old and new came to wish Barbara well in her retirement, and to pay tribute to her commitment, dedication and passion for ensuring these children gain the quality of life they deserve.

Barbara will now focus on her work in fostering, and hands overs a thriving charity to her successor Helen Mault.

Barbara (pictured centre) was also joined by outgoing Trustees Jill Nasralla and Andrea Lewis.

New Trustees are Colin Bosomworth, Paula Dearden, Jo Lakeland and Jo Bosomworth.
