REGISTRATION for west Cheshire’s energy switching scheme has been extended to help more Northwich and Winsford residents find a better tariff.

The Cheshire West and Chester Council scheme, called ‘Ready to Switch?’, is available for both credit and prepayment meters.

It is free to register to the scheme, and there is no obligation to switch suppliers if the tariff offered doesn’t better your current one.

Cllr Karen Shore, CWAC cabinet member for environment, said: “It’s at this time of year when we all start to turn our heating on.

“If you haven’t switched supplier for a while, now is actually a great time to see if you can reduce the cost of your energy, before the winter sets in.

"For those who have already registered, there will be a letter sent on 23 October confirming the energy supplier and the tariff being offered."

Registration is now open until Tuesday, November 28.

It can be completed online at cheshirewestandchester.gov.uk/readytoswitch or by calling 01244 977262.
