A MUCH-anticipated sequel to Northwich Comic Con is set to enthral fans this month.

The popular event will return to Northwich Memorial Court on Saturday, October 14, from 10am to 4pm.

Hundreds of families attended the debut event back in April, and it organiser Steven Howard is hoping part two continues to be a hit with fans.

He told the Guardian: “We held our debut event in April - it was a fantastic day and put Northwich on the Comic Con map.

“After the event we had so many people say they wished they had been able to come that we felt we had to do it all again so we’ve put together Part 2”

Visitors will be treated to a number of great displays including Star Cars, Daleks and other props.

There will be plenty more photo opportunities with cosplayers such as Hulkbuster, Bumblebee, Ninja Turtles, Batman, Captain America, Iron Man, Spiderman, Baymax, Ghostbusters, East Midlands Garrison Star Wars Characters, Gaming Characters, Pikachu and many more.

Steven added: “For Pokémon Go fans we will be loading the Pokéstop all day so there will be lots of Pokémon to catch.”

There will also be a number of stalls selling action figures, comics, artwork, retro games, books, Lego, TV memorabilia, collectables, handmade goods and more.

A number of signing guests from TV/movies are also due to make an appearance, including Ross Mullan who played the White Walker from Game of Thrones and Silence from Dr Who.

For younger visitors he was The Numbertaker in Number Jacks as well as many other roles.

Martin Ballantyne, who played two characters from the Harry Potter movies and Joker’s Henchman in The Dark Knight, and Ian Richardson, a Comic Artist whose works includes 2000AD – will also be taking part in unique talks throughout the day.

For those who are planning on dressing for the occasion, there will be cosplay competitions with prizes.

Star Wars fans will also be in for a treat with the East Midlands Garrison on-hand to keep Imperial Order.

Steven said: “Keep your eye out for Lord Vader, Kylo Ren and Stormtroopers looking for Droids or those mischievous Jawa’s up to no good.

“All of our costumers are happy to stop for a photo and love putting a smile on visitors’ faces.

“hopefully once again we will have something for everyone, we want to once again put on an event everyone remembers and wants to come back next time’.
