THE MP for Eddisbury has praised the government’s final decision on the national funding formula.
The Secretary of State for Education has announced that the national funding formula will come into effect from April 2018.
Schools in Eddisbury will receive an average increase of 1.8 per cent once the changes have been implemented.
Antoinette Sandbach MP said: “The announcement made by the Secretary of State is great news for schools across my constituency who will see a significant uplift in their funding.
“I wholly welcome this decision made by the Government and would like to thank all the headteachers, parents and constituents who have supported calls I have made on the Government for minimum per pupil funding.”
