MEMBERS of Northwich Running Club completed the English Half Marathon.

A total of 16 people represented the group in the 13 mile race on Saturday, September 16 with four also competing in the 10k run.

Ian Scouler, a member of the club for 17 months, registered a one hour and 55 minute time in the half marathon.

The 52-year-old said: “This is a race we do every year and as usual it was extremely well run and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves.

“I find it a flatter route than other races but other members think it’s really difficult so it’s a matter of perspective on how tough it is.

“For anyone who is considering joining a running club I don’t think you could find better people than here to be honest.

“Speaking for myself my running has come on 10-fold since joining. This is mainly because of the activities you do that you wouldn’t think of on your own.

“It’s also very wide ranging and caters for all abilities so there is something for everyone.”

The club currently has approximately 220 members.
