A DRIVER had to be rescued by firefighters after his car overturned in Hartford this morning.

Emergency services were called to Chester Road at 10.51am following reports of a one-vehicle collision.

Two fire engines from Winsford attended the scene along with police and ambulance services.

A spokesman for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “Firefighters were called to a one vehicle road collision on Chester Road, Hartford.

“Fire crews extracted one casualty from the vehicle before handing them into the care of paramedics.”

The man did not sustain any injuries.

Police closed Chester Road while emergency services dealt with the incident.

A police spokesman said: “Police were called to reports of a one-vehicle collision at 10.30am.

"A white Vauxhall Mokka was turning out of Booth Road, turning left towards Hartford railway station.

"As it went round the corner it collided with a number of parked cars and completely overturned.

"The driver, a man from the local area, was trapped inside. He did not sustain any injuries and did not need to go to hospital.

"The road was completely blocked and was reopened at 12.10pm.”
