THE Mikron Theatre Company return to Winsford for a double-helping of shows next week.

Mikron will be performing In At The Deep End: An RNLI Story at Winsford Academy Theatre, on Friday, September 15, as they dive into 200 years of saving lives at sea.

On Saturday, September 16, Mikron will perform Best Foot Forward: A Hike Through the History of Hostelling, in a marquee at Winsford Marina, as part of this year’s Salt Fair.

The nationally-renowned Mikron Theatre Company have been coming to Winsford since 2012, and more than 1,200 people have now seen their shows in the town.

Marianne McNamara, Mikron’s artistic director, said: “For 46 years Mikron has toured to places that other companies don’t, and that means we are often deep in the heart of the countryside, with no venue nearby, or finding ourselves performing in the most unlikely of places – a boatyard, an allotment site, even inside a tunnel.

“This year we will be adding youth hostels and lifeboat stations to the places we perform in.”
