FIREFIGHTERS were called out to rescue a swan in Whatcroft yesterday, August 20.
The swan, which was 30ft out in water, had got tangled in fishing line and needed help getting released at 6.53pm.
One fire engine from Northwich, one from Lymm and the animal rescue unit from Lymm attended the incident, in Davenham Road.
The animal rescue crew rescued the swan using a raft, before handing it over to the RSPCA for recovery.
