A CAR dealership could close its doors to make way for new apartments if a planning scheme is given permission.
The owners of Adamsons Cars, in West Road, Weaverham, want to convert the site into 10 two-bedroom apartments.
In its planning statement, Adamsons Cars said: “The business has been successful and is looking to expand.
“It has now outgrown the site and is looking to relocate elsewhere in the borough.
“Whilst the existing use has only caused sporadic complaints relating to parking of cars, continued use of the site for example by a different business could have the potential to be a nuisance to local residents.”
Public consultation on the proposal is open until Tuesday, September 5.
