WEAVERHALL Museum is holding a pop up exhibition.

From August 19 until September 3 organisers will be celebrating the individuals who discovered polythene at ICI Winnington in 1933.

It will be led by volunteers and supported by the Royal Society Local Heroes Funds.

On August 23 and 24 children are invited to design, build and launch their own pop bottle rocket.

The activity starts at 9:45am with launch time at 11am.

August 25 is the teddy bears picnic. Bring a teddy bear, some sandwiches and something to sit on. It will be inside if wet.

On August 30 and 31 visitors will be recycling plaster to make their own jewellery as well as making polymer putty and slime.

Activities cost £1.50.
