A POPULAR 26-year-old man from Northwich who died following a crash on the M6 ‘lived life to the full’ according to his family.

Sam Kelly, former St Nicholas High School pupil and former bartender at the Woodpecker pub, died in hospital after he was involved in the crash at the weekend.

Emergency services were deployed to the M6 northbound at 8am on Saturday, August 5, between junction 19 at Knutsford and junction 20 at Lymm following a collision involving a car and a lorry.

The southbound carriageway was closed to let the air ambulance land and Sam was airlifted to Aintree Hospital, where he later died.

Police say the driver of the lorry was uninjured.

Sam’s family have now paid tribute to Sam ‘The Man’, saying he will always be missed.

They said: “Sam ‘The Man’ is a beautiful, fun loving, go getter who lived and loved life to the full. He will be sadly missed by his fiancé Lana, his Step Son to be Ashley, his Father Michael , Mum Carol and Step Dad Ross.

“Sam was a twin to Lucia, little bro to Oliver, and a big bro to Jonny and Wills. Grandson to Peter & Madge, Kate & Graham and the special bromance with Matt, and the last family member Bob the dog.

“All his extended family and loyal friends whose lives he touched will always miss him.”
