THERE is ‘no risk of demolition’ to new houses at the Cookes Meadow development in Northwich, following the HS2 route announcement, the developer has confirmed.
The 73-home development in Broken Cross, situated off Crookes Lane and between the A530 and A556, is now complete.
Residents who have just bought houses on the development may have been concerned following the HS2 route announcement, which shows the route run right next to the development.
But Stewart Milne says there is no risk that any of the houses will have to be demolished.
A spokesperson for Stewart Milne Homes said: “We can confirm that the latest HS2 details which update on the proposals put forward in 2016, have not changed the position of the route in relation to our Cookes Meadow development in Northwich.
“The route does not directly impact on the location of Cookes Meadow and there is no risk of demolition to homeowners on the site.
“Cookes Meadow has proven to be a popular development here in the north west, with all homes now sold.”
