A SPELL of wet weather failed to dampen residents’ spirits on Saturday for the Lostock Green Methodist Church Fete.
Families flocked to the circus-themed event, which was held to raise funds for repairs to the church.
Hannah Thomas-Prasad was also crowned Lostock Green Sunday School Queen by Rev James Patron-Bell.
Isobel Moore, from Lostock Green Methodist Church, said: “The crowds were entertained by Barnton Silver Band whilst enjoying cream teas and later were amazed by a talented stilt walker and fire eater.
“The stall holders dressed as clowns, ring masters, fortune tellers , even a strong man and children dressed up to make a circus parade.”
The event raised £1168 towards the church repairs.
Isobel said: “The church wishes to thank everyone who made this event such a success.”
